HCC Connect:Science Seminar Series

  • A Farewell Message

We believe that the time for Connect:Science has come to an end now that the final vestiges of pandemic restrictions are fading, and we are seeing the signs of our vibrant community coming back out for in-person talks, seminars, and symposia.

We have enjoyed the rich dialog between speakers, our hosts, and the audiences that have joined us, and we want to thank each and every one of you that has signed on, or watched a recording, for taking part in this necessary, but temporary series, which began on March 23, 2020, to help pull our community of cancer research faculty, trainees, and lab staff together during this time when scientific idea sharing and collaboration became so difficult.

Please follow us on Twitter @DF_HCC, and if you’d like to hear about future events that HCC runs, click here to join our mailing list. In addition, we will keep the recorded seminars hosted for some time, and would encourage you to watch any you may have missed: Connect:Science Past Seminars Page.

Please see below for information about today's talk.

    Kornelia Polyak, MD, PhD
Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School
    Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
    HCC Cancer Cell Biology Co-Leader

The HCC Connect:Science seminar series – which began on March 23, 2020 – offered remote participation through Zoom and pulled the community of faculty, trainees, and lab staff together during the pandemic and it promoted engagement. The series, which ended June 27, 2023, involved speakers who are leaders in cancer biology, immune oncology and other fields from across the world.

This seminar series was broadcasted to researchers around the globe and recorded for subsequent viewing. The series started with daily talks running from Monday through Friday; then it was switched to twice a week starting July 6, 2020 (Tuesdays and Thursdays); and finally it was switched to once a week on Tuesdays since of April 19, 2021.
