Cell Manipulation Core

The Connell and O'Reilly Families Cell Manipulation Core Facility (CMCF) assists HCC members in developing new cell-based therapies for patients with cancer who are enrolled in novel therapeutic clinical research protocols.

Clinical stem cell transplant processing typically involves the manipulation of plasma / supernatant and/or red blood cell layers, while maximizing the recovery of the buffy coat layer (containing stem cells) for infusion.
