Resources for Research Participants
The Office for Human Research Studies (OHRS) protects the rights and safety of our research subjects while facilitating research excellence. We oversee scientific and Institutional Review Board ("IRB") review processes for the HCC. The IRB promotes the protection of research participants enrolled in studies at HCC by reviewing research studies by minimizing risks and ensuring all information is provided to you to make an informed decision about whether you wish to consent to participate in a research study. OHRS can answer questions about participant rights without bias, or help with any problems or complaints related to the research.
THE Harvard Cancer CONSORTIUM provides multiple channels for participants to access information regarding their involvement in research studies.
Please see the OHRS Contact List to reach out directly to the Office of Human Research Studies. Some reasons you may want to contact us:
- If you would like further information about your rights as a research participant
- If you have concerns or complaints about the research and want to talk to somebody not on the research team
- If you have any questions about the OHRS office and its operations
Should you have questions about the conduct of a study, or your role in the research, we suggest you contact the researcher listed on your consent form.
