Research Abstract

The area of cancer research that I am interested in include:

- optimizing radiation therapy in the management of brain tumors, such as brain metastases, gliomas, meningiomas, medulloblastoma, and other less common diagnoses

- understanding the effects of ionizing radiation on the brain and other normal tissues and developing methods to protect, prevent, or treat such adverse effects

- developing the role of proton therapy, especially within but not limited to brain tumors

- optimizing the role of radiation therapy for ocular tumors

- Novel use of radiation therapy such as neuromodulation for addiction
