Research Abstract

The Franklin lab is interested in understanding the communication between the innate immune system and non-immune cells during both homeostasis and disease. In particular, we study the role of macrophages in the maintenance of tissue homeostasis and investigate how these mechanisms are dysregulated in cancer. We hope to use our findings to develop novel therapeutics to slow tumor growth and inhibit progression to metastasis.
