Research Abstract

I am an academic surgical pathologist subspecialized in pulmonary and bone/soft tissue pathology, and I am the Medical Director of the Histology and Ancillary Diagnostic Laboratories (including Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Special Procedures Unit) in the Department of Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. My expertise is on the pathologic diagnosis and clinical/translational research in lung cancer and in rare cancers including pleural/peritoneal mesotheliomas, bone/soft tissue sarcomas, and neuroendocrine tumors. I investigate the diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive biomarkers for better classification, management, and treatment of these cancers.
