Research Abstract

The long-term objectives of this ongoing project is to elucidate the mechanisms underlying gut mucosal defense. We are particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms that which go awry in a number of gut disease states, including inflammatory conditions, prolonged starvation, systemic trauma and sepsis. as well as cancer.
